Dear Chicago House,
Chicago teen had her Halloween party this past weekend, I think Mr Chicago and I deserve some sort of award for ever allowing this to happen but we lived to tell the tale of a house FULL of teenagers! Nothing got broken, no one threw up and everyone had fun!
When Chicago teen asked me if she could have this party I said it was fine as long as she did all the food. Now I should have known better as she is never one to do anything by halves (remember the pop up invitation card). An inspirational Pinterest board of fancy Halloween food was quickly put together and a menu drawn up. It appeared throwing a couple bag of chips into bowls was not going to cut it, a full blown Pinterest Foodie was in the works!
But I have to give it to Chicago teen, with a couple of close friends they worked their socks of of getting everything together.
So this week I thought I'd share a few of the recipes they made
Tasty Graveyard Dip
Ingredients
Dollop the dip onto a shallow dish
Write RIP onto the crackers and stick in for grave stones
Add cubes of cheese
Create a fence with pretzel sticks
Create trees with the leafy ends of celery
Halloween Marshmallows
Ingredients
Dip the marshmallows in the chocolate and then decorate with sprinkles
Very easy but very messy ...I think I will be finding sprinkles in my kitchen for ever more!

- 4 tins of chick peas rinsed and drained
- 1/2 bag baby spinach leaves
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 avacago
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 6 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
- Salt and Pepper
- Rectangular crackers
- edible marker
- Pretzel sticks
- Cheese cubes
- Celery ends with leaves
